Intensive Weekend heads north

The COMPASS Intensive Weekend heads north and will take place in Skellefteå on 27-29 May 2022.

The Intensive Weekend offers young and emerging artists dance classes, workshops and an opportunity to jam among other activities.

We can only take in a maximum of 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee for the entire weekend’s activities is 350 kr.

The participants will be split into two groups, based on age: One for those aged 13-16 and one for those aged 17-25.

Don’t let the money get in the way of participation, so we can remove the fee in certain circumstances, please contact ellenrydberg@ildance.se for more information.

ilDance directors Lee Brummer and Israel Aloni will lead the weekend and are joined by Siri Elmqvist and Linn Lindström, leading dance workshops, and Liv Aira for a lecture/practical workshop.

The weekend will organised in association with Skellefteå Dans och Balett.

This is the third Intensive Weekend, following events in Gothenburg in March and Malmö last week.

One of the Malmö participants, Desy Falletta, studying at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School, had this to say about her experience.

“I attended only one day of the weekend but I must say that it was very helpful, I discovered that we are not alone in this world of dance, we can help each other and this is very important.

“This experience led me to reflect on how movement works and to seek more and more, always have a "hunger for dance", always be in search of something, never be satisfied, but always remaining humble and coherent with oneself, listening to your body. Thanks for the opportunity!”

Experience it for yourself and sign up for Skellefteå on 27-29 May 2022 now.
